So at the beginning of the month we had Mourinho coming out saying he has promoted youth at every club he has been to and will continue to do so. Then at the end of the July, we have him spunking £95m on Pogba and telling nine youth players to find new clubs.

Pogba was in the youth setup at United so that probably counts in his mind

        He won't be a flop.

But I can't see how he will ever live up to that transfer fee either.

For that sort of money I'd want a player that will score goals and win you a league on his own. Can't see Pogba being that player.

Look, lets be honest, it's a ****ing good signing for a world class player. They've pulled it out of the bag by just throwing money at it. Whether you agree with it or not, that's the reality of it.

Well at least that fee's the bar now for any other players Utd want to sign of a similar ability/reputation.

Is he world class though? I've seen him ping some lovely passes and crosses but so have Can and Henderson

I think a few of you are saying he is **** due to his performances or lack of them at the euros.
Lewandowski wasn't all that great at the euros as well as a few other well known top players.

When you have the likes of Everton and Palace offering 30-40m quid for players, one of the richest clubs in the world paying £95m is neither here nor there really. English clubs have way more money than sense these days. Its obscene money but its the game we have today.

I believe he's in the top 3 midfielders in the world. Whether that constitutes world class, well I guess that's personal interpretation. He's scored some incredible goals for Juve last season...something Can and Henderson are yet to do on a regular basis for us.

He's still massively over priced. The only players really worth that kind of money in todays inflated market are the likes or Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez. A midfielder with 3 more goals and one more assist than James Milner? Not for me.

Not arsed anyway, last summer we had lads crying over them signing Depay. Worked out well! It's not important what these lads do, only what we do.

Regarding his goals. He has so many wild attempts at goal and when every 20th goes in it makes for a lovely end of season youtube compilation.

One of the most overrates players in the world imo.
