Surprised at that. I thought that you could only get punished retrospectively if the ref missed the incident, but with Neville repeatedly highlighting that the ref seen it, I thought they were going to chalk this down to incompetence and let United off.

It's quite harsh on Zlatan if he does get banned. Fellani gets away with 4 or 5 of those every game, so he has a right to feel aggrieved.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Mings could face an increased ban for his offence.

The FA statement added: "Furthermore, the FA has submitted a claim that the standard punishment that would otherwise apply for the misconduct committed by the Bournemouth defender is 'clearly insufficient'."

"Off-the-ball incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a panel of three former elite referees.

"Each referee panel member will review the video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence. For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous."

Ibrahimovic would miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea and league games against Middlesbrough and West Brom if banned for three games, although he would be available for Europa League matches.

Isn't that judging a player guilty before there has even been a hearing?

And if the panel has to be unanimous I can guarantee that it won't find Zlatan's elbow as being deliberate.

          Harsh?

He's done it more than once. I'd have him shot personally right in the leg, so he couldn't walk without a defined limp , that may be considered harsh by some. I hate the big nosed cunt.

It's usually a kangaroo court isn't when they bring these charges. Bar the Chelsea game though the two league games you'd think they'll have enough to pick up the 6 points without him in the side.

I was shocked earlier this season. I mentioned I think in the general football thread that Chester had been charged by the FA for a scuffle at the end of the Wrexham game but the Welsh FA had to decide if they would be charged. Chester presented evidence and had the charges against them dropped!

                I was joking.

Couldn't agree more with part in bold.

I hope Ibra gets a 4 game suspension. That would be another spanner in the works for them.

Who do they play in the fourth game?

Not sure, I just meant because they will struggle for a fair few games with him out and 4 games tends to be a number players get for things like these isn't it?

Clearly they have already decided that Mings is going to get the book thrown at his, the verdict is merely a formality. Ibrahimovic will probably get away with it. Am I right in assuming that Ibrahimovic has been charged for the elbow, but not for throwing Mings to the floor minutes earlier, as surely that should also be included in the charges.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And the attempted stamp - hardly fair to penalise Mings more for having a better aim.

LA Galaxy have told Zlatan Ibrahimovic they are prepared to make him the highest paid player in Major League Soccer history if he joins them from Manchester United this summer.

Ibrahimovic only joined United on a one-year deal last summer.

There is an option for the Swede to stay longer but while the club are desperate to keep him, the 35-year-old is yet to agree.

We should offer him stoopid wages too just to drive up the price Scum have to pay further.
