Said it in another thread, but they are the sort of team that could lose 4-0 to the Mancs but just as easily beat them 4-0.


Do think Ajax could trouble the Manc. They seem to have a bit of steel to them this season and their heads don't drop when they ship goals.

Weird from the Anderlecht manager in this tie. He didn't play 4 or 5 of his best players in the first leg & then when they were actually doing well last night he takes off their two best players. I know they are going for the league and thats great but surely winning this cup would be a huge achievement for a club like Anderlecht!? Those subs killed them last night, two leading goalscorers off and the two boys that were brought on put in a terrible performance

Anyways Mancs deserved it and it was only a matter of time in the end. They'll get a better game off the other clubs left. Ajax have some great young players but think may be a little too young, Celta are decent (Agent Aspas) but I think Lyon who although have a ****e defence are capable of scoring goals.

Really and truly though it's a great opportunity for the Mancs to win this cup, there really isn't any stand out sides left. Very poor comp this year IMO.

As poor as the competition is its now the semi final stage. Everyone is seeing (CL) money signs in front of their eyes and suddenly its not just a fanciful dream. There are no strong teams this year, but that includes Utd - they are p*ss poor.

Just checking their fixtures I think the first leg will be 3 days before Arsenal away and their second leg 3 days before Spurs away. Now that's brutual.
