Failing to get in teh champs league would have been a disaster for Mourinho and the club, with this now he gets a crack at really putting it right. They've been garbage this season but I feel with the what has to be said as the decent season and with unlimited funds and champs league footie ... they are in a very good position come this window.

4th place and a qualifier for champions league.

Hands down they have had the better season.

They may be dull as **** to watch but ultimately football is about winning or at least should be.

Would never want Jose as manager but I do want to win stuff fairly soon.

Luck plays a massive part in football, Jose is a lucky manager and his record in finals is impressive, klopps not so. I hope it's our turn soon.

They've just defeated ISIS by winning the europa league if you listen to the coverage.

Look, they don't deserve to be in the CL but they'll get built up again as world beaters under genius mourinho again, like last summer. They will spend the equivalent of a small nation's GDP on big name players like Griezman but he'll end up playing wingback and Jose's ****house tactics will only go so far.

They've clearly had a better season. We haven't won anything in years and limped to a cl qualifying place. Need to spend a lot of money. Hope fsg doesn't think 4th is the height of our ambition.

We limped to a qualifying place with the highest points tally 4th has needed in all the years 4th has qualified to a place. With a tally that would have actually seen us finish 3rd in something like 12 of the last 15 years.
