My manc colleague gave me a list of four candidates this morning.. Poch, Zidane, Eddie Howe and Marco Silva. Preference was Eddie Howe.

Zidane is the only one who has managed a big club, he did well at Madrid but that was a different situation to Man Utd.

Pochettino is an interesting one, Spurs are a better side than Man Utd but Man Utd are the bigger club I guess if he is ambitious he would imagine that he could achieve alot more there than he ever could at Spurs, but would he get the time and backing he would need to do it? He might be better staying at Spurs...

Silva meh not bothered although it would be funny because it would piss off the bitters.

What Eddie Howe has done at Bournemouth is remarkable but it is a completely different game. I don't want him to take the job because he's quite a likable guy and he deserves better than to be associated with that shower.

Eddie Howe seems like and nice chap, and decent manager. You wonder if he has found his level though? The job of rebuilding Man U from top to bottom will be beyond him.

Utd are so broken right now there seems no obvious fix.

It took us two managers to rebuild from Hodgson, and that's about where they find themselves now.

It’s such a poisoned chalice right now I can only see negatives for any decent manger going there. Utd need to get a decent structure in to make it appealing for any aspiring manager to sign up.

Pochettino and Simeone would be decent appointments, but what do they as individuals gain out of it?

Pep choosing City over Utd was a sign of what was to come for them.
