Ole Gunnar Solskjaer man utd manager.

Never saw that one coming I must admit. Massive risk. They have nothing much to lose this season, and then a new manager bedding in with a squad all over the place next.

Will be interesting to see how Solskjaer handles the pressure of any bad results. Cardiff must surely smell blood this weekend.

    Modifying post.

I hope that he does as well with them as he did with Cardiff
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I hope he does well enough for them to keep him on but **** enough so we don't stop laughing at them

Is anyone here based in Norway? I'm quite interested to know what the reaction there is particularly amongst the Molde fans.

Looking from the outside it seems to me that Molde have been treated in a fairly disrespectful way in this by Man Utd and Solskjaer. They are taking away their manager over the closed season and the first couple of months of the new season when all their preparation is done, to help out Man Utd in the short term, then when it is all over they expect things to return to normal. For their troubles it seems that Man Utd are paying £1.8m. If I were a fan I would be really hacked off by this as it seems they are risking their own season for this. Does £1.8m go a long way in Norwegian football or is Solskjaer/Man Utd held in such regard that people aren't bothered? I saw someone on the BBC say to the effect that Molde are honoured to be helping a club of the status of Man Utd is this really true or is it just a nonsense made up by someone who has a biased perspective or no idea whatever are talking about?

That would be the ideal scenario. He provides a small post-Jose boost.

The fans are behind him and the board make him a sentimental appointment. He's wastes a few hundred millionbin the transfer market. Has a terrible season and is out on his arae in less than 18 months and they're back to square one.

There aren`t many Molde fans. I checked their forum, and I was the only one there. I think they are mostly proud, and accept it. Norway will always be a stepping stone for bigger things (and most things are bigger). Solskjær has been clear that he wants another try outside Norway, and probably has an agreement with the owners (who are that same guys that owned and ruined Wimbledon).
When it comes to the money £1,8M is almost 20% of Moldes yearly budget, so that helps. And while Solskjærs first stint at Molde was very successful it hasn`t been as good this time.

Relegation would be tick all the boxes, right?

Not that it's gonna happen mind.
                  Oh I don't know.

Disrespectful? Nah, this is normal when your managers get poached by bigger fish.

Those Wimbledon parasites are still going?

There's a special place reserved in hell for them.

The only way is up for them though, I mean he can't possibly be any worse than Jose.

If he can get them to scrape 4th instead of Arsenal then that would get him the job and he can then pillage the Norwegian leagues for the next Jesper Blomqvist

OGS will be nothing more than the purple nosed one’s puppet during his caretaker role. Ferguson will be calling the all the shots, telling what training to do, telling him the tactics to use and also picking the team

                                I’m not so sure.

SAF/DBF is 76 and had a pretty major health scare this year so I’d be surprised if his involvement is all that big these days.
