It’s impossible to judge him until next season starts and he has had a pre season and some signings himself. Also CL football is crucial for them, with the likes of Pogba potentially off if they don’t get it.

I still think the Di Matteo trajectory is the one Solskjaer is most likely following.

He hasn't had to endure a bad run, change tactics, etc. I'd love it if he got a three year contract and spent loads on total mediocrity.

I thought they changed tactics pretty effectively against us last week.

I was grudgingly impressed with how they played tbh. It showed a different, more disciplined side to his approach.
      Oh I don't know.

That might end up as wishful thinking as he has done extremely well so far.
        Are we winning?

I'll refer you to Buzzo's post. Yes, he's done very well thus far, but he's never built a team before, won anything(? - i don't follow Norwegian football) or attracted top players.

Him or the likes of Simone is a no brainer for me.

New manager bounce, no pressure because he came in as caretaker too. If he gets permanent job it's an entirely different scenario to what it is now, the freshness and lack of pressure will be gone and United may be quickly confronted with the reality that their manager is a guy whose managerial CV contains a decent stint in Norway and bombing at Cardiff.

So yeah, contract for Ole please !

The concern for me is the tails are up and with some defensive recruits and the league being ****, they are capable of challenging. The crowd are behind Ole like we were with Kenny.

Possibly but it's better they appoint Ole than someone with a proven record of success, yes Ole could turn out to be a good permanent manager but it's still a gamble appointing him as opposed to someone like Simeone.

They had Jose and Van Gaal. Won loads between them, nothing to suggest Simone would do better. He's defensive. If you attack in this league you will win lots of games. Ole has momentum and has picked everyone up. Will it continue? Id rather not find out.

Whatever way we swing it, at the moment he has done a great job.

They have a core of 4/5 very good players....more an indictment on jose than ogs being a genius.

I'd love to know on what basis they gave the caretaker role, as didn't he leave a permanent role? I would imagine they told him he could make it permanent if he did well enough. They probably weren't expecting him to do so well. I think he deserves it, and as a bonus I think he would bomb ultimately.
                        Really?

There was no ultimate for him, it was take the team to the end of season and if a,b,c,d, happens then we will pay you this.

X = pay off's throughout dependant on finish ( both club and manager )
I make no apologies, this is me

If he gets the Job, I imagine that United will become flat track bullies, Probably similar to Arsenal under Wenger towards the last few seasons and Getting beat by the best teams and doing ****e in europe.

VVD rents it from him now. So a move could be on for Virgil.
