I mean a major club sinking into obscurity. They might have loads of cash but the culture and direction of the club will pull them down.
Manchester United

I think United are *ick* more comparable to us *rinses mouth out*.
Their fans may be dicks but there's a hell of a lot who will stick around regardless so they'll always have a healthy revenue stream, unfortunately.
They've had success long enough now that many of them have grown up only ever supporting United. Same reason we have so many fans around the world.Comment

You must have splinters on your arse sitting on the fence!!!It was quite unbearable working over here in his smiling honeymoon period. Greatest manager on earth, Master tactician. I said all along to these ****ers that he was a novice and it would end in tears. They were queueing up to give my the wealth of the footballing knowledge. Football over here is a complete joke, just gloried pub teams....
Now the 7 losses from 9 is part of their glorious history, to quote some famous song lyrics....
'Its, oh so quiet....ssh...ssh'
****ing helmets the lot of them

Rio as sporting director would be ****in glorious........
In reality I think Fergie is still pulling the strings at the club. But he is so out of date that they are ****ed now.
The funny thing with all of this is that they'd have been better off keeping Moyes and giving him 3 or 4 years. He might have been able to build a team and made them better (still garbage football). They've spunked so much money under Van Gaal, Mourinho and now OGS - and they are actually going backwards! It's beautiful.Comment

They would have been mid table had it not been for de Gea. They've been a one man team for the last 6 seasons (and that one man has been their goalkeeper
7th, 4th, 6th, 5th and 2nd last season with a potential 6th place finish again. What a sequence! This will be their 6th year of non-contention (discounting last season as the gap to the top was huge) and they're still attracting good players and can finance high wages.
Can't last for ever though
)
Another MASSIVE game
