Utd fans will be loving Pogba even more now
Manchester United will pay Paul Pogba a £3.78million loyalty bonus, despite the player admitting it might be time to leave Old Trafford in search of a “new challenge”, SportsMail reports.

Pogba’s bumper pay-out is due on July 1, just two weeks after he gave the interview about his future, while on a promotional visit to Tokyo.

The France midfielder’s loyalty payment has increased from the £3.46m he received last year, under the terms of his five-year contract at United.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, who banked £41m from the player’s then world record £89m return to Old Trafford in 2016

How is it possible to bank nearly 50% of a fee like that?

Because he is a licenced crook. I have said it many times. If the players need agents. They should be paying them themselves. The football clubs should be making any payments in any shape or form to them. The sooner these parasites are out of the game the better

If we didn't have TAA, I'd be well up for signing him, at that fee, own goal or not, he's ****ing ace and only getting better!

With TAA the need's not there but happily have him in on rotation in a hypothetical world.

**** that, he's beyond hopeless with the ball at his feet. Very good defensively usually but any top side needs more than that nowadays.

Big Luke Shaw and him is going to be tragic for them.

think thats harsh on the lad, he is big and gangly so looks worse with his feet than he is.

He made some great runs and took plenty of players on last season, I reckon he could be a very good player, but going to United could ruin him

He is average going forward (3 assists last season) & less than average defending; his best attribute is speed & gets him out of the **** when he makes an error. Positionally he is very poor & gives away a lot of corners, as he is not where he should have been & then makes last ditch tackles/blocks

a solid enough defender, very quick and powerful he is but passing is **** and needs to improve massively going forward. Might aswell sign Clyne.

Yep. You don't even have to be a scout to see his strengths, and weaknesses. He is at his best when he is defending one on one, specifically when he goes to ground and nicks the ball away. That's all well and good, but going down means the team is down to 10 men until he gets up. This works for Palace where the forwards or midfielders are always 5 yards away from him. But give him more space in a forward thinking team he will be a liability by going down, as the ball will end up loose in the space. Conversely, keep him on his feet and you've lost one of his strengths.

It also helps he is useless on the ball and 100% one footed. Can't wait for him to sign.

He is a great prospect, whether he will fulfill that potential remains to be seen.

They really did get screwed on the deal, its nit uncommon to have these fixed payments in the contracts but usually the days are skewed in favor ion the club, i.e 1st Feb or 1st Sep.

Pogba's problem on joining is if they can remove the dead wood quick enough, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at PSG come September or remaining where he is.

Paul Pogba’s agent will earn £41 million from the player’s move to Manchester United, according to a book published in Germany this week.

The book Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football claims that Mino Raiola was entitled to £22.8 million of the £89 million fee paid by United to Juventus to sign Pogba last summer. It alleges that the agent is also due more than £16 million in further payments and an additional £2.2 million from the player, taking his total earnings from the deal to £41 million.
