No way are they favourites surely. We are unbeaten at home for over 3 seasons. Sure we have had a blip lately but only in the context of almost unparalleled standards. I fully expect us to win

City's to lose? How? Even if they win their game in hand they're still behind us.

Sorry I find defeatist attitudes like this really annoying.

As far as I'm concerned we're still favourites for the title and I expect us to get there.

We're also strong favourites for Sunday's game by the way (bookies odds).

I don't like to say it but City are starting to click into gear and they have been without Aguero & Jesus most of the season. It seems to be that finally they have sorted their defence out.

IMO the biggest difference between the two manchester clubs is City's manager and most of their team have prem winning experience which is vital in a title run in. I also think United have been very lucky this season whether that luck runs out this season remains to be seen.

Yeah i see what you mean, but 'as it stands' we are looking at going thru the majority of the rest of this season with one 'broken', 2 rookies & the best DEF midfielder as centre half's.

That aligned to city's upturn in form lately surely makes them favorites, we would certainly be thinking the same if things were reversed (that said pep would just spend a further 150mill on 2 new players........).

I hope we do win the league & if we do, what an achievement it would be with such a broken back line.

Yep, agree with most of that. City are the bookies favourites, and have, somewhat bizarrely, been all season. I think "theirs to lose" is still pushing it though!

I think one big win on Sunday and people will feel very differently. Aside from the Van Dijk and Gomez injuries we've actually got a good squad at the moment. I really think this 9 day break will help.

I agree it would be a massive achievement but I think the fact we're still top (at the time of posting ) given we've likely been through our biggest rough patch of form, injuries etc, stands us in really good stead for the rest of the season.

City's rough patch could easily be waiting for them down the road.

Injuries considered city are the best team in the league. That's why I think they're going to win it.

As gut wrenching as it would be, I think I could handle City winning it ahead of a bang average Man U. That would be bad.

The old adage - attack wins game and defence wins titles. With Ali, VVD, Joe and the two full backs + Fab in front we were imperious. The injuries, reshuffling and knock effect has taken a real toll on us.

Dias looks much better than I thought and him + Stones/Laporte has looked really solid allowing Fernandinho to shield them. If they keep Aguero fit then they have a really good chance given their solidity at the back

it's galling but is what it is, with the money he has spent I suppose he had to get it right at some stage ffs. I do hate City and their fans
