Just wondering how much their reserve side that they put out last night much have cost:
Sancho £75m, Martial, Mata, van de Beek, Matic were all about £35m each, Bailly and Lindelof I think cost ~£50m for the pair. I imagine that side must have cost about £300m
Our side the other night probably cost half of that but that was largely due to a handful of players (Naby, Konate, Ox), their whole second string was more or less made up of players costing £20-35m

Klopp irritated Solskjaer last season when he said United had received more penalties in two-and-a-half seasons than Liverpool had in his entire five-and-a-half seasons at the club.
Solskjaer, fresh from seeing Jesse Lingard not get a penalty against West Ham on Wednesday when he appeared to be fouled by Mark Noble and two further spot-kick claims getting turned down at the London Stadium last weekend, thinks Klopp's comments are having an impact.
"There was a certain manager who was worried about us getting penalties last year and after that the decisions were different. I have seen a big difference since then on."Another MASSIVE game

To be fair, the one in the league cup the other day was a definite penalty, he's dragged him down by the shirt.
The two in their league game against West Ham, the first one Ronaldo has thrown himself into the opposition player's leg to try and win a penalty, where if he had just kept running there would have been contact. The second one, he's falling before the contact is made, rather than because of the contact. In both cases, if he'd waited for the contact then i think the penalties would have been given, but because he's preempted the contact, the decisions have gone against him.
Players need to change their mindset now, no more anticipating contact and taking the plunge, let the contact come to you and then see what happens.

Do you mean, like, actually get fouled before crashing to the ground... controversialOriginally posted by Scratch View PostTo be fair, the one in the league cup the other day was a definite penalty, he's dragged him down by the shirt.
