Bruno is as big a ****** but at least he puts some effort in and has ability when he's not mouthing incessantly at the ref and feigning in jury. Bruno has taken over from Rooney as the player who is constantly berating refs, refs can nip this in the bud if they want to ... but they don't.

That has been a recurring theme in a number of our recent games. We have been getting wins on the current run but think the wins are helping to mask just how bad the officiating has been in many of those games.

It was just as bad in the Wolves game.

In the past four or five games, the only one that seemed to be called down the middle was the one against Real. Highlighting the difference that is usually there between PL reffing and CL reffing.

Frightening to think how many we'd have scored if it had been officiated properly. They were petrified coming in to the game, evident by the timewasting from the first minute. Taking Salah in to isolation, he was targeted and offered no protection from the officials at all. He never gives it back to the officials either. We need someone to get his back as he'll not change in this respect.

That's another reason to get my man Barella in.

Great player but plenty of snide to his game. Will go after a player that fouls one of his teammates and gets in the ears of refs.

Has a right win at all costs mentality that does not fade even if his team are a few goals down.

If Milner was a few years younger he would be ideal as a retribution guy as well as letting the ref know about things.

Who does seem to have that in him, but he is either out injured or, when fit. the opposite end of the pitch, is Konate. He always seems very quick to arrive when there is a kerfuffle and his arrival is usually announced by him barging someone out of the way.

Do hope this summer sees the arrival of a few physical midfielders though or at least ones that have enough physicality in their lockers that it allows them to get stuck in when needed.

The finish is simply sublime, but the run was really good too. He just seems to have the ability to drift between defenders and also lose any DMs whilst making those runs.

And is not like he is a small lad sneaking in, he is about as difficult to miss as a baby giraffe.
