He wasnt really a Liverpool manager. Some guy that stumbled in looking for the smint shop.

Was it Shankly that said, I’ve been here in the bad times too, we came 2nd once ? What a fall from Grace that was.

He's gone at some point in November isn't he.

Are there any decent options for them if they do sack him?

                  Absolute mess of a club

De Zerbi is the obvious shout - maybe they'd try for Emery? - but I could see both of those turning them down and neither are guarantees at all. It's all very funny. ETH is absolutely ****e though, he's not the guy.

Can they actually afford to sack him? Apart from the compo, another squad rebuild is another third of a billion quid. With the players they have, they’re looking at a top six fight at best, unless they’re exceptionally lucky with their appointment of a new manager.

Emery would be the obvious shout for me. But he didn't do well at Arsenal. Nothing is guaranteed with a manager fitting in.

De Zerbi looks to be a good manager, but doing that at well-run Brighton club and then transferring that to a mess of a club like United is altogether different. Look at Potter as well (he could well the favourite given he'd be free ) but again, despite being a good manager, i wouldn't back him to be a success at united either.

I don't know what money will be released as part of the minority buy out they got but they could probably cover another 300m as they've plenty of players to flog (despite owing outstanding transfer fees in that region already).

They haven't been shy on spending money though and questions remain who'll take over the running of the footballing side. The crucial aspect is will they start to sell the right players and will they be able to offload the junk they've accumulated. Tough challenge, i'd say.
