Agreed, the only questionable decision was the handball call for utds penalty.Originally posted by Fosterbloke View Post****ing brilliant game and the correct outcome. The penalty decision was a joke, his arm was by his side ffs!Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

The red was harsh for me. I get it under the laws of the game though "endangering an opponent". Worse than the Jones and Jota reds though and i didn't see as much crying in the studio then.Originally posted by Fosterbloke View Post****ing brilliant game and the correct outcome. That defensive work from united at 3-3 was keystone cops stuff though - absolute mince.

Yeah, I think the red was harsh. As you say like the Curtis Jones one there was zero intent, but yeah - everyone was cool with the CJ one so you reap what you sow.
The number of hand balls was mental though. There was a quadruple hand ball by Utd at one point, which was given I think.Modifying post.

Not sure what highlights you saw but check these & see if you still think it’s harsh.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostYeah, I think the red was harsh. As you say like the Curtis Jones one there was zero intent, but yeah - everyone was cool with the CJ one so you reap what you sow.

Intent isn't considered tho, just whether or not the tackle endangered the opponent. So anything over ankle height on a planted foot will be considered worthy of a red. Which is fine, so long as the rule is adhered to week in/week out.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIts the same as the Jones one. Looks bad, but zero intent.
I'm not arsed that it was given tho
The issue now tho is that the United bleating and the Arsenal bleating are both over decisions that are easily justified, which is taking away from the focus on incidents that really did screw over teams (that Spurs goal we never got, the foul by Onana on the Wolves player).

I get that - but in an ideal neutral scenario neither are red cards. Its a grey-ish area, and they will still divide opinion. But I think that it was harsh on Rashford.
Still. It absolutely torpedoed their CL season so not all bad!Modifying post.

Not torpedoed as much as I would like, with them only a point off 2nd. Beat Galatasaray (away I know, but still it is doable) and they will be on 6 points, and with Bayern already guaranteed top spot they will probably play their B team for the next two games, so United could quite feasibly win their next 2 games which should be enough, unless FC Copenhagen also beat Galatasaray and Munich.
