I'm sure in a couple seasons they'll be paying 90mill to bring him home.

Surely, those days of big signings are gone, as any money they make will be used to pay down their debt before making any attempt to build up their team again. They should just use their youth to make a sustainable team.Originally posted by vlahka View PostI'm sure in a couple seasons they'll be paying 90mill to bring him home.
That's what I would be doing: short-term pain for long-term gainNope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

On the one hand they would love to see the youngsters come through but it’s a double-edged sword – they need the big signings to get bums on seats; otherwise, no one is going to pay those prices to continue to watch dross football with average players… he already attends less games than he used to
They truly are f***ed – they need someone like a Klopp type figure to get them going again but thankfully they don’t come along too often!
Let them rot...What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins
Batman
F*** off!!!

Where are they with the profit and sustainability rules, I thought they needed to make some decent book profits by selling HG players?Originally posted by vlahka View PostUTD are too dumb not to spend big. Pretty sure Amorim wouldnt have come over if his future plans was to just use the youth players. He wants to get rid of that entire team and build his own which means they'll be spending big. Expect 200mill at least! Maybe even 300.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Exactly, the PSR are being reviewed & tightened to close all the loopholes that Chelsea & Leicester City exploited recently, so no one is gonna be safe.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhere are they with the profit and sustainability rules? I just don't think United know how to change course. They are so desperate to stay relevant that they just can't help splurging in every window. Every summer they seem to need major surgery. 3 points off 17th place is absolutely insane for a club that have spent insane amounts of money and Bruno is their only players that has real quality. Their worst league position at this stage of the season in 35 years and their great hope Amorim doing worst than Ten Hag. They are a mess and winning that Europa League is essential to try salvage some kind of positive this season.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

More than it being a trophy it would get them into the CL next season wouldn't it, which would be huge from a financial point of view. If they don't then no European football and a presumably much tighter budget. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They won't give him much CL money to spend anyway.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostMore than it being a trophy it would get them into the CL next season wouldn't it, which would be huge from a financial point of view. Whatever they had or needed to do they most likely know they're fine. There is no way Amorim would have come if he wasnt promised a certain amount for transfers.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhere are they with the profit and sustainability rules, I thought they needed to make some decent book profits by selling HG players?

And comes with the same kind of excuse making and throwing players under the bus tactic.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
