With a good coach they should be a real threat for top 5 but they don't have one. They should be fitter and well organised for every game.

Yeah to be honest I thought they'd have a good season without any European football.....one game a week they should be a lot better. Like forest last year or Brentford this year.

Well they went out of both cups at the first stage so will only have played 40 games by the time the season ends

Would be strange one imo as surely they'd just appoint Southgate now if they thought he was the right man for the job. Although that suggests that there is a strategy. What is strange is that they didn't have Carrick lined up when they sacked Amorim. The fletcher car crash and the week of speculation about Ole v Carrick for the job was total amateur hour stuff. Half expecting Simon Cowell to be on the interview panel with a buzzer. Would be good if there was an amazon documentary coming out at the end of the season

Bringing in any permanent manage now would mean they would have spend in this window, by deferring it until summer you be able to back the new manager in the new PSR window.

I thinking they are eyeing up Glasner who is out of contract, perhaps they have already got a gentlemens agreement on it hence the need for a temp manager
