20 years ago the ref would have been up for review for game fixing. These days game fixing is part of the sport.

It's really hard to not wonder if VAR is now being used to manipulate one way or the other when you see decisions like that.

I mean, even Neville is saying it's a handball.

That dopey prick ref should be suspended, or / and investigated.

Manchester United have revealed the location for their planned new 100,000-seater stadium - approximately 350m north west of their existing Old Trafford ground.

Last month, the Premier League club acquired a 25-acre site for the proposed stadium - a site currently partly used by a go-kart track.

Images were unveiled on Thursday for the first time as part of a multi-billion pound draft masterplan for the regeneration project around the wider Old Trafford area, to be known as Trafford Wharfside.

The pictures show no tridents, or canopy - the striking 'circus tent' concept - unveiled by minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe in March 2025, but United officials insist that idea has not been ditched.

Still need Freightliner to sell, plus also depends on who becomes MCR Mayor as they may rein back investment. Never going to cost £2b, double it if you are lucky, Sceptic in me can't see it being built as the cost would be far to great and both conman Jim and the Glorious Glazers won't dilute shareholding to fund
I make no apologies, this is me

If £2bn is their estimate now, before the design is finalised, land access negotiated, planning granted and a spade in the ground it could quadruple. Spurs stadium 2009 initial estimate was £250m for a 58k seater. Levy admitted the final cost was £1.2bn. That’s ~£1.5bn in today’s money.

They will want 100k capacity, and with the uncertainty of a brownfield site combined with a parallel publicly funded enabling development, I agree it is aspirational at best.

Aye, Freightliner want a chunk - I heard Utd had £40m+ set aside, Freightliner wanted £400m+ - Then add in re route on the railway which Utd wanted the taxpayer to pay for - Largely doesn't make sense, Kock down the toilet and reposition it it 100m and then they have a 100k stadium for ballpark £2b .
