I suspected Newcastle wouldnt win today and that draw is decent for us. They're now above us by a point but played a game more. Arsenal could take a tonking tomorrow so if we can win at Villa, we could realistically end the day 5th.

Am i mental for thinking Wigan will get something against Chelsea?

Why bring Wigan into it as an excuse

Wigan have a small chance, although Chelsea will probably smash them

If Wigan go down and stay down, they're ****ed. They never sell out their ground as it is, their ticket prices are already cheap by PL standards and if they lose the tv money, they'd have to cut their costs massively, because they'd lose ****loads in tv money plus a portion of their season ticket revenue and gate receipts. Their ticket prices would have to drop too. Which means they'd never come back up again unless they made good use of the parachute payments while they had them.

So in short, so long Wigan, so long Whelan.
