It's a no brainer for them, he's perfect cover for when they lose players in the African Nations. Can't see how they can lose out of it really.

Wenger's watched him train every day so he must be in decent shape/form.

If he was available until the end of the season I think he'd have been worth having a look at ourselves, but as it's only for two months it'd be pointless.

This season he's been poor perhaps due to his head being turned in the summer who knows but he's not been playing well at all.
I'm not so convinced that Alex is as good as people make out. I get the impression that in the long run AVB is looking for someone to complement Luiz and who is open to learning his methods. Perhaps Alex is just not suitable on those terms?

If I was buying Cahill his dip in form would be a worry though.

I would have taken him in the summer

Not now hes regressed and its become plainly obvious that his positional play leaves an awful lot to be desired

In short teams have sussed out his weakness and will target that

Him and Luiz will be a comedy double act to match Morecombe & Wise

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Wasn't he supposed to have been excellent with Luisão @ Benfica?

Where is Alex from Chelsea going?

Haven't seen him for so long - did he lose whatever little pace he had or something? Always thought he was ok.

He's good player but the dragging of the move in the summer affected his confidence and his game. I too would take him in summer if Bolton wasn't asking some silly money.

Imo Chavs are getting good player for the fraction of the cost and he'll slot in CM role with Terry nicely.

Henry is proven striker and though he doesn't have the speed and mobility as he once had he can still bang goals.

If we couldn't find a decent striker I'd take him for 6 months. **** it I'd take Anelka for that matter.

I dunno about Henry. I mean he's lost pace but he'll probably score a few goals. But I do wonder what sort of influence he'll have behind the scenes and on the pitch - I remember a few Arsenal players at the time saying that he could be intimidating.

Realistically he's in to cover for Gervinho and Chamakh, with RvP and Walcott available as well I think he'll do that role well. I think a lot of the players who were intimidated then have grown in stature since he left.
