Neville said a Liverpool player had magnificence

He's doing well. I like him on this, far btter than Andy ****ing Gray. Maybe thats the problem though, we're comparing him to absolute melts like Shearer, Hansen, Redknapp, Gray and Lawrenson - anyone new is going to look good next to them aren't they?

Dare I say it? Quite a nice January too after City. Stoke (H) Bolton (A) & Wolves(A). Then a **** or bust February. Then a fairly straightforward run in. Our timing could be just right this time round.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

The one thing Neville doesnt (yet) conform to is Sky's sensationalising of everything, to a cringeworthy extent. That was always Gray's biggest problem. When he didnt do it, he was good. I've not seen Neville do it at all yet.

Better still, he said he had "absolute magnificence", whatever that means.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He's still got to be more critical of United though. His only failing so far...he's clearly trying to be balanced when it comes to them but he makes excuses for mistakes, or even glosses over them completely. It would mean him criticising his mates and he's not gonna do that.

                Overall though he's very good.

His voice still does my head in though
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He gets tongue tied a lot, but that makes it better for me, he's not ultra slick, he is actually saying something that doesn't sound like one of Redknapp's pre packaged Daily Star soundbites.

It started today with his "best league in the world" comment. I mean, it's certainly a credible view but you wait, we'll look back on it as the point when Neville started slipping down the slope towards vomit-worthy Skyperbole.

Yeah, he did say that actually. I think that's the most unavoidable prerequisite though, if you want to work for Sky. They probably have it tattooed on the inside of their eyelids when they come for the interview.

                            "skyperbole"- top.
                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.
