    Get well soon Ronaldo

Brazil legend Ronaldo has dengue fever

    January 5, 2012

    By ESPNsoccernet staff

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has revealed he has contracted dengue fever.

On Wednesday, Ronaldo, 35, wrote on his Twitter account that he was discharged from a hospital the night before and is recuperating.

He apparently contracted the mosquito-borne disease while vacationing at a north-eastern Brazil beach town.

Ronaldo thanked fans on Twitter for the well-wishes he has received, while confirming he is now treating the disease, resting and looking forward to his recovery.

Dengue can cause fever, headache and pain in muscles and joints. It's potentially fatal, if it develops into dengue haemorrhagic fever, and there is no vaccine or specific treatment.

The former Real Madrid player, who has plied his trade at Corinthians in recent seasons, was a prolific goalscorer for his country Brazil, scoring 62 times in 98 caps.

I love this man. Get well soon.

My favourite ever player. It still saddens me to think he could easily have been the greatest ever player were it not for the bad injuries he suffered.

i know we've had loads of these type of threads before but **** it

yeah he's up there for me as well - just sheer class, however in my lifetime/era - Zidane just shades it, with Messi getting very close. - If messi continues as he is it will be Messi no.1, and zidane and ronaldo 2 and 3 but very very close.

yeah I'd agree with Zidane as being the best although if Ronaldo hadn't had those terrible injuries though i fancy he'd have shaded it for me - Messi will be the best ever though IMO (Maradonna is at the moment for me but can only remember bits and bobs of him from being a kid)

Why oh why oh why do things like this only ever happen to the nice Ronaldos and not the bad Ronaldos who deserve it?
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It was released as 'Staying Alive' in the UK.

Trials to eradicate Dengue fever are happening a few kilometers from where I live.

I've got this on the brain now:

                        Dengue fever, Dengue fever
We know how to do it
Gimme the Dengue fever, Dengue fever
We know how to show it
                        It's my own fault but

I know. I only posted it in case it makes someone else suffer it too.

                            It's driving me crazier.
