However, I don't think it's as black as white as some people say with Messi being so much better than Ronaldo.
I think both are better in some departments than the other. And Messi only just shades it, simply because of the big game effect that he has.
I may be in a minority but I think a player can e great without being great at international level. And Messi is one of the greats. I think Ronaldo would be too if it wasn't for his personality. Both are absolutely outstanding though.

They are both exceptional footballers but for me Messi is that little bit more special than Ronaldo + he dosn't come across as a compete prick.

He'd barely played for the Scum when the nominations were madeOriginally posted by Alex View PostIs Phil Jones not in the 'Draw'?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think they are both greats. If Messi wasn't in this generation of footballers then Ronaldo would be getting far more credit than he does.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostWhite text

I don't think that Messi could have the same impact in the Premier League that Ronaldo had and to be fair he has only tested himself in Spain. I believe Messi is the better player but Ronaldo is incredible and has aspects to his game that Messi does not. It's also about the players around you.
In regards to internationals, I don't think it's applicable anymore as rcasemore has already suggested. Management at International level is now second grade (generally) and club teams trump International sides. IMO.

.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
