    Harry Redknapp trial

    GordonFarquhar Gordon Farquhar
Harry Redknapp and son Jamie have arrived at Southwark Court building ahead of Redknapp senior's Trial. Richard Bevan of LMA also here.
    Pearcesport James Pearce
Many asking about possible sentence if found guilty. This is common law offence which means it could be fine or prison at judge's discretion

Trial is due to last 2 weeks. Lots of questions but please don't expect me to answer. I can only report basic facts + what's said in Court
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Send him to prison, regardless of the outcome.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

What he is there for? I understand its all money related. But that's about it. Is it the fans of Portsmouth, Southampton and West Ham taking him to court for destroying them financially?
        *Except Michael, who died.

Tax evasion. Payments from Mandaric to him while at Pompey that he allegedly didn't declare for tax purposes.

Set up an account in Monaco to avoid paying taxes here, haha, hope he's bang to rights.

Shouldn't he be remanded now anyway, just incase .

Indeed. Usual sanction is to pay back the tax owed plus interest, plus a penalty of up to 100% (but usually far less) of the unpaid tax amount.

Doubt very much he'll see any Jail time, But, wouldn't whether he go's to jail be dependant on the amount evaded, the length of time evaded, and the underhand and maybe criminal lengths they've gone to in order to carry this out ?

Saying that, hasn't Mandric already been cleared of similar charges not so long ago ?

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I see the jury have had to declare any allegiances for or against any of Redknapp/Mandaric's previous clubs whilst being sworn in.

Shame the "jury" that found Suarez guilty didn't have to do the same.

Not that I'm still bitter or anything.

Just saw this in the Sky article

Redknapp, 64, who underwent minor heart surgery last year to unblock his arteries, is the most successful English manager in the modern game, having led Portsmouth to FA Cup success and Spurs to last season's Uefa Champions League quarter-finals.
                        And it made me laugh.
