I've said it before but watching Delle Alli sickens me, he should have been Gerrard's heir apparent.

Southampton equalise. No league clean sheet since 22 January for Chelsea.

Ends 4-2, Chelsea are excellent in the final third, much more bravery, more runs in the box, more long shots too!

Begrudgingly have to say fair play to Chelsea. They are the polar opposite to us in terms of mentality.

League basically sewn up, take their foot off the gas, drop a few points while Spurs gain momentum. Then they go out, beat Spurs with their best players benched and pull away in the league again when it matters most.

Even last night, cruise control for the first 15 mins, Southampton come back into it and put them under real pressure, they see it through and kill them off comfortably. We'd have crumbled last night after the equaliser.

                ****ers.

That being said, lesser of two evils for me, rather them than Spurs at this stage.

How many yellow cards did chelsea get away with last night?? I'm pretty sure under normal circumstances, if a player gets past you and you hold him back, that's an automatic yellow. I counted three of those without punishment.

                      Why is that?

I could list a number of reasons, but it’s a fast day today and I’m temporarily brain-dead. Basically though if Spurs win the league, they could easily kick on and become a PL force that we can’t realistically compete with. I’m optimistically hoping that if they finish runners up, they might implode like we did (twice) and possibly lose some of their best players and/or manager. Regardless of where Chelsea finish, we’ll still not be able to compete with them financially and their recent success will still make them more appealing for a lot of players out there.

There are no guarantees that Spurs won’t improve further if they finish 2nd, but I think it’s fair to say that it’s a lot more likely to happen if they actually win the league. Chelsea IMO are likely to improve whether they finish 1st or 2nd and if anything, might have that extra bit of desire if they finished runners up.

There is also that f*cker Ali’s face and that stupid handshake **** that makes me wish a lot worse on them than losing out on a PL winner’s medal. I like Ponch, but hate Spurs and their supporters I know. Thankfully I don’t know any proper Chelsea fans.
