Salah was flying for us from day 1. Yeah he’d been at Chelsea, but he only played about 500 disjointed minutes for them, which is nothing really.

    Then there’s Bruno Fernandes!
Obviously some players do ok and yes, Fernandes has been brilliant. My point it, there are no guarantees that Werner and Havertz will. Look at the great forwards the likes of Chelsea and Utd have brought in and ruined before.

And for us, Mane had played at Southampton. Firmino took a season or 2.

There are no guarantees a big money signings from other Leagues will settle is all I am saying

Chelsea will have a lot of players to keep happy as well. They have way too many midfielders. Look at a player like Billy Gilmour, he will struggle to get minutes...

Mount, Barkley, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Ziyech and maybe Havertz all ahead of him.

They may come good Chelsea, but I am not so sure they are building a balanced squad.

I get it, I was just saying I’m not sure the previous Prem experience thing is that typical a factor in whether players settle quickly or not.

You can list some that didn’t, I can list some that did. Likewise I could give examples of players that moved between clubs within the PL but didn’t recreate the same form, Alexis Sanchez being a massive one.

      There’s no guarantees either way.

Yeah the anomaly in all this is how they've managed to get £120m for Costa (a washed-up troublemaker, way past his best) and Morata (a flop really for two seasons. Should have been cut price rather than full value). I guess it is what it is and that money is now there for them to spend.

Seems they are after Declan Rice as well.....don’t rate him that highly but them and City really going to take advantage of the temporary relaxation of FFP

Saw City linked to Alaba and Koulibally also......yikes

How many midfielders do they need?

Werner is well placed to start strong, no doubts at all about him. A little bit gutting to miss out on him tbf.

Its not the players Chelsea are buying which worries me. It's the ones we aren't.

Rice is average. City have spent around £324 on defenders since 2017 so I wouldn't be surprised if they splurge on more. Alaba & Koulibally both class acts to be fair. Apparently in talks with Ake too whom I really like. £35m is a steal

Out of Europe 7-1 aggregate to Bayern. They’ll need to spend more now lol

Such winning from the winning manager, Frank 'the Fat' Lampard. That'll shut the one, and only one, PL winning Pep Ljinders up tonight.
                          One tit for another.

                            arrogant prick

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard: "It's a good exercise for us to go up against Bayern and their Champions League experience, with a lot of our players having debut seasons.

"I can see where I want us to go and I know we'll be back."

Debut season? james, Mount & errr?

so pleased fat frank got shown his arse again, he is so out of his depth; long may they stick with him. could sort out a defence if you handed him the best 10 defenders in europe

Chelsea conceded 79 goals in all competitions this season, an average of 1.44 per game.

That's their worst ratio in a season since the 1990-91 campaign, when they conceded 1.64 goals per game conceded.

Plenty for FAT Frank Lampard to think about over the summer.
