The biggest sham is fining them such a relatively small amount - getting one good player ahead of another club could feasibly earn them that amount
I’m wrong on this - it’s not underage players, it’s up to 10 players that were transferred with financial irregularities. This throws everything they won for a period of time into the should be taken off them category. A Champions League, the Europa League twice, two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a League Cup.

But we ****ing knew that anyway that Abramovic was dodgy. Equally, how fix this get resolved so quickly and City’s case is ****ing nowhere

The fine is only 1/4 of the amount they rorted & not taking into consideration the amount they profited from those victories while rorting the system. Pathetic.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Supposedly lighter penalty for turning themselves in (new owners reporting old ones) and co-operating but still it's a ****ing joke.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Plus everyone is ignoring the £1bn+ loan that was written off. If any other owners tried that they would fall foul of PSR (or whatever they are call this season) - how is that fair?

Their finances are in a shocking state despite using every accounting trick in the book.

I guess on the plus side the PL has laid a framework for the City case. Chelsea turned themselves in & cooperated fully. So no reduction in fines, no case for a suspended transfer ban, possibility of a points reduction and tetrosoectiaction remain on the table for City. I still doubt the PL has the balls to give them anymore than a token slap on the wrist. It would cost the other clubs far too much if they got into a protracted legal battle with the UAE royal family.

What are the odds on FIFA selecting the UAE over Iraq to replace Iran if they can’t compete? It’s all about the $$$…

We're going to be in a **** financial situation soon because of that moron managing us. When it's our turn they'll probably banish us to the 6th level of the Norweigian league, level Anfield, ban us from signing players until 2050 and make us play in Blue

They paid dirty money to get Hazard who was wanted by every big club at the time, he helped them win trophies and was sold for £100m to Real Madrid which was all book profit and allowed them avid FFP issues.

He is the most extreme example of this but each of the others all contributed in their own way, titles should've been stripped from them for this to be truly fair

I thought Abramovich wrote off their loan to his Cayman Island company when the UK Government forced him to sell?

They were told not to do the huddle around the ball before the game but did it anyway and with the ref in the middle such a weird club.

He wrote off his loan to the Chelsea holding company. That company drip fed funding into the club but did so inline with PSR, or FIFA fair play as it was.

That’s just accounting gymnastics, the club couldn’t operate within the rules without his subsidies. The club would have been bankrupt and unsaleable without him forgiving those loans, but everyone is glossing over that because technically under PSR/FFP it was fine. They are as bad as City, but they seem to be getting away with it.

I see he is challenging the UK government about the proceeds from the sale now after doing nothing about sending it to Ukraine as he originally indicated he would.

They'll just spend another billion to right the books.
