So Hodgson being bad automatically means Mourinho would have been good?Originally posted by Kenneth View PostNo you're right, thank god we got Hodgson instead.
Flawless logic there
And TBH however **** it worked out then, it worked out, its the chain of events that led to us taking a risk on a young and upcoming manager. So I'll keep things as they were thanks

he won the cl with inter.Originally posted by Nigey View PostThe more you look into his career, the more you see that he's overrated as a manager. Had loads of money thrown at his teams, especially at Real and Chelsea. Failed to win the CL since he left Porto. He doesn't build teams.
Is he the greatest con artist ever?
who's arsed?

His record with winning speaks for itself. Plenty of managers have failed after getting the money. I think he's good at what he does, but he obviously runs people up the wrong way. Let's not forget he won the league against the best team to possibly ever be assembled.*Except Michael, who died.

In ten seasons of club management, Mourinho has led his club to win its domestic league seven times, the UEFA Champions League twice and the UEFA Cup once. Between 2003 and 2012, Mourinho did not go a single calendar year without winning at least one trophy.
It's safe to say that if you manage Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, you're going to be up their challenging for trophies. As such, there is always that little niggle that makes you wonder if he could build a team up to challenge for trophies.
But, at the end of the day, he's just an absolute bellend.

His time at Real, ultimately, is a failure IMO. He could have beatne Bayern had he been a little more mold in the 2nd leg. He chose not to and got dumped.
His defeat at Dortmund shows the difference b/w negative approach and a coach who instilled positive approach to winning games. So glad when he got his ass handed to him by Kloppo's young'uns
