I didn't catch the game on Sunday but I saw the papperazzi spilling onto the pitch at the Bernebeu to take a picture of Mourinho and him pointing to the ref telling him to look. Didn't he actually walk out to the pitch after the match had started?

Seriously, I'd be pissed if Mourinho was manager of LFC. Winner or no winner, his behaviour is shocking. No wonder he is loved by Chelsea fans. They're a great fit

You do know that Rafa did the same thing with Gerrard.

Some players don't have game intelligence enough to understand the small tactical details.

If Gerrard would have had that then he would have been the best central midfielder ever. Xavi wouldn't have had a chance.

Coutinho is a player that have bucketloads of game intelligence. If Rodgers for some reason wanted to play him as a defensive midfielder then he would most probably be excellent.

That is why it didn't even take him one minute to get used to the PL.

He has adapted to basically any position put in to without any problems. Played right mid, central mid, attacking mid and even thrown in as a rb doing very well. Just had a very good season for us playing deeper than he is used to, almost doing a Pirlo. I don't have a minute doubt that he could walk in to any side making it better at his prime - and even for most sides today.

If you want to talk about lack of game intelligence at least draw a relevant example like Traore or something.

So who did Lucas replace when he came back? Was it Gerrard? No it was his partner in midfield. Gerrard have filled out a Pirlo type role incredibly well this season, but have lacked as good a partner as Lucas for much of the season.

Lucas did not replace Gerrard in the starting line up, and your argument makes no valid sense to me.

You don't become one the worlds best midfielders that is versatile, made captain at young age, playing at an incredible level through 3-4 different types of managers and systems without game intelligence and tactical awareness. He has plenty of that, and we can see it by the way he has moved around the pitch so easily.

In the past i don't think Gerrard had the tactical discipline, he seems to have got better as he's got older.

Bale is one example that you don't need great game intelligence or great tactical awareness to be a fantastic player.

He is almost the same type of player as Gerrard in the same age. Plays with a lot of energy, heart, pace, winning mentality.

He played in the same positions but on the other wing and is now played in the middle in a free position.

By the way, Rafa almost never played Gerrard as a central midfielder. He probably had his reasons. He wanted to get the best out of him and you don't get that if you play him CM or DM.
