They'll do very, very well to finish top half from this position.

That's it, it's not like they are playing really well and losing down to sheer bad luck every week. They are playing ****e. As soon as they figure that out they might stop the rot, and climb the table a bit. But they aren't going to win the league.

Mourinhos gone now I reckon, last nights comments, and the run they are on suggest he is not going to turn it round.

    Good times

It's genuinely a huge game for them.

Even if they win, it will be hilarious watching them cheering and going mental. Having beaten Sunderland. To stay out of the drop zone.

Yep, this is it. It's ****ing great, I keep looking at their fixtures and am like arghhh 3 points there for them but they are dismal in every single game and there are no signs of improvement at all. At best like you say they can stop the rot and probably finish 10th or something. The points deficit on everyone above them is just becoming too big! On that note, as nice as Leicester's story is we need them to start losing games very quickly.

It really is. God, I'd love to see Allardyce strutting round Stamford Bridge like a mafia leader on the weekend! And if Sunderland play like they did at Arsenal then they will win handily. If the players do want him out then thats the one to lose badly if he lasts till the weekend. Roman is being weirdly patient!

When do we play them again? Hope it's before Jose gets the bullet and the players start playing like pros again.

Should be difficult to sack Mourinho during the Xmas games, it's now or January, so hopefully he'll remain in charge at least until January
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Nothing would fill me with joy than beating Chelsea and getting Mourinho the sack!

On another note, has anyone tried to pinpoint the reason for their remarkable downturn?

Chelsea will hold an emergency board meeting on Wednesday to discuss the future of manager Jose Mourinho. (Daily Mail)

Good timing. If Rafa gets kicked from madrid this week like they are saying, mourinho might be right back there before the new season.

The upside of both the Madrid and possibly the Chelsea jobs up is that it has the potential to take two more good managers out of the available pool for the Utd job - meaning they will be stuck with Van Gaal for the foreseeable future.
