I think Mourinho might just promise himself to Madrid, they'll take him back and although I think he'd love a go at United I think his antics this year may put them off.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI reckon:
Hiddink short term - Simeone in the summer
Pep to City
Carlo to Bayern
Mourinho to Utd
Simeone is an interesting one because he looks very happy where he is, possibly could win the league this year too, they look the most complete side in Spain to me right now.
Maybe;
Ancelotti - Bayern
Pep - City*
Mourinho - Madrid
LVG - Another year at United if he gets top 4
I'm unsure with Chelsea, I agree Hiddink now makes sense and then try for Pep/Simeone, maybe Pep has already made a decision though? If they can't persuade Simeone to leave then who is left? Ramos has been linked
* I'm not certain City with sack Pelegrini if he win the league and has a deep CL run personally.Vive la France

hmmmm you never know. Look at chelseas history of appointing managers. Sometimes they go for top class like Ancelotti and Hiddink and then sometimes it's total curveballs like Avram Grant and Roberto Matteo. So Rodgers for 6 months while they wait on Simeone wouldn't be the strangest thing to happen. What would be funny in the long term then would be that Rodgers does well but still gets the bullet and then Simeone does ****e for them and they start all over again in 18 months time.
As for Mourinho, he will be hurting now. The £12m might soften the blow a bit but right now he is one job away from being washed up. If his next role goes tits-up, then he will struggle to get another top european club. He will fancy his chances of getting the Bayern or PSG jobs next summer but in reality they are both classy clubs that won't particularly like either his football or his image. Maybe he will get another 1 year at Real Madrid but not on a long term project, just another season like Capello did that time. Or maybe he could go to Italy again? Inter would take him back if the gig ever came up but he would be stupid to go back there because he would never replicate the success he had there first time round.
Happy christmas Jose!!!

Perez loves him, I thought it was an open secret he can walk back into a job there if and when he wants it. So long as Perez is in charge anyway.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI'd be amazed if Real would want him back - he burned too many bridges there.
It's PSG, United or an international job I reckon.Vive la France

Perez is certainly supposed to be a fan and Rafa isn't exactly tearing up trees at the moment. Although what the players would make of it
Anyway shame Roman's let him go quite so soon. I wonder if the timing reflects the transfer window is coming up and the new man can get some different faces in?
