    Alex McLeish

Not going very well at Villa is it???

Fallen out with Ireland and Nzogbia

Fans describing the football as 'the worst they have seen in 25 years'

    Now a new website http://www.mcleishout.co.uk/

Was a stupid appointment in the first place. He'd just got relegated with their biggest rivals!! And while I'm sure Villa supporters liked him for it I'm not quite sure it's the same sort of like as wanting him to be their new manager.

These were the same fans that scoffed at Rafa Benitez as their manager and many laughed at Rikjaard, preferring the glamour of Mark ****ing Hughes and then believing they had a chance to entice Ancelotti.

They can lie in their own juices as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not sure they were calling for McLeish either though.
        Oh I don't know.

He would have been well down the list.

It was Lerners appointment and McLeish needed to have a really good run to get the fans onside.

They have won 6 out of 24 in the League.

No they weren't, but their delusion of grandeur and stupidity concerning managerial candidates gives me the inability to sympathise with them.

Randy Lerner isn't helping their cause either. Tightening the purse strings and getting stick in the US because he's too busy with Villa. Something has to give.

I think there was a poll in their website or forums which had Rafa significantly lower than luminaries like Hughes and Coyle

Aston Villa central defender Richard Dunne will be sidelined for up to two months with a fractured right clavicle (shoulder), the club have confirmed.

Dunne suffered the injury in Sunday's home clash with Premier League leaders Manchester City after falling heavily when challenging England keeper Joe Hart for a cross and will undergo surgery in Birmingham on Monday.

A club statement confirmed: "Richard Dunne sustained a fracture to his right clavicle in the game against Manchester City. He will undergo an operation today in Birmingham. It is anticipated that he will be sidelined for up to eight weeks."

Meanwhile, midfielder Chris Herd has returned to full training having recovered from an ankle ligament injury which has left him sidelined since December.

He will be available for the game against Wigan on February 25.

McLeish used Heskey as the winger

Terrible game management and apparently he prepared the team based on Everton Cityh game

Going from bad to worse for him at the moment

Bent out, probably for the rest of the season and now some dire financial figures

Aston Villa announce record losses for 2010-2011 of £54m despite record revenues of £92m #AVFC

Aston Villa's spending included a £12m "charge in relation to changes in management personnel. Sounds like Martin O'Neill's pay-off

Despite losses Randy Lerner continues to the most indulgent owner any club could ask for - he put in a further £25m last season

They're 15th too, not in any real danger of going down due to the teams below them being dire, but it's still pretty shocking!

So Lerner is pumping in cash to keep it afloat in layman's terms. However, I guess next year's annual report will have the revenue generated from the Downing and Young sales, so it will look a little more balanced.

Also, was it Exiled_Red that was talking about Aston Villa being in a relegation battle in a thread that escapes me? He's not far wrong.
