Eek. That's quite a fixture list, they might just get dragged in to it; I guess it depends on how crap Wigan, Bolton and QPR continue to be, or if they're gonna start fighting for their place in the top tier.

Still, at least Aston Villa can rely on Heskey to get the goals, now Bent is injured.

Not far wrong at all, they're 8 points clear of Blackburn at the moment who they play at Ewood Park this weekend. Blackburn's results have started picking up, and if they can grab a win, you're only looking at a 5 point gap and when you consider in their last 12 matches, they've still got Us, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs to play, as well as tricky away ties at West Brom (I know! But it's a derby and anything can happen) and Norwich. They could genuinely be in some serious trouble.

The only thing I think will probably save them is the fact that there's some utter crap beneath them. Losing Bent for the rest of the season is huge though.

The result leaves Villa with only four league wins at home this season - the worst campaign at Villa Park in the club's history, the previous lowest total of wins being six. [Interestingly, we've only had 5 league wins at home this season ]
