Of course he's a good manager, doesnt make him perfect though. The handling of the keeper situation was absolutely comical all while Joe Hart was miles better than the rest and he's testing out David James and Rob Green in a world cup!

Then theres Gerrard playing great in the middle so he puts him on the left wing. Then thinking Gareth Barry is a similar player to Didi Hamann. Having Emile Heskey in the world cup squad let alone giving him games was ridiculous! Playing Upson over Carragher v Germany. He's clearly a great manager or at least was but it was a comedy of errors.

Limited choices though, utter lack of quality English strikers, utter lack of quality English holding midfielders and Carragher had been was not great in the group games and would have faired no better against Germany's pace.

its such a **** post i dont know who'd want it.

redknapp fancies it no doubt but i dont think he'll leave spurs in the season. I think they will appoint an interim manager to handle the summer tournament and then someone will takeover full time from next season.

how many english managers are currently out of work at the moment - alan curbishley, glenn hoddle, terry venables, anyone else ?
