I dont think it was the fact that they didnt win in south africa. It was more to do with the fact that they played like a bunch of transexuals in the deep american south.

they looked **** from the off and the 4 - 1 drubbing by the germans was actually an act of mercy because england looked limp and without ideas. The germans did us all a massive favour by showing that england belonged to the league 2 of world football and capello should have been handed his arse then. the fact that he wasnt given the boot just made the FA look impotent.
