Quite telling the attitude of one of the journalists on 5Live last night. He remarked that Capello was quite a difficuilt man to get an interview with and when an interview was granted he, Capello, didn't actually say all that much leaving the journo having the pad out his copy. He then remarked the Redknapp was the polar opposite.

So there you go folks Redknapp for England simply because he's good copy.

FWIW Id like to see a new manager come in and get rid of most of the older players. Terry/Rio/Lampard/Cole and maybe even Gerrard. Move ahead planning for the future, and get players some big tournament experience. The real aim should be World Cup 2014 and Euro 2016. Not these Euros.

Rio and Rooney have come out and said they want Capello.

What other situation, club or Country would a player ever do that. They need to keep quiet. What if the FA choose a foreign manager. Will what Rio said about not getting ideas across be ignored by the new guy? Doubt it.
