I'm not sure that those two examples really apply. The philosophies at both those clubs (and the squads to implement them) have been built over a number of years. Coming into a relegation fight with no chance to alter the squad is clearly a different task.Originally posted by Reece View PostI agree - look how Lambert and Rodgers have Norwich and Swansea playing respectively.
But Wolves will err on the side of caution and go for someone with experience of a relegation battle.
Not to say that the usual purveyors of flatulent long ball tedium are the right choice but I don't think a new manager with a radical tactical approach is necessarily the way to go either."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Any way I'm going to throw a random name into the ring - former Cambridge United (and current Zambia) manager Herve Renard. Partly due to the Cambridge connection and partly because of I'd think the style of his Zambia side might be a decent model for Wolves at this point."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Like winning the lottery it would be for Wolves if Rafa was in charge..............he's so far above that level.Originally posted by Chazza1978 View PostSky Sports news saying Rafa has ruled himself out
But you do wonder where Rafa will be going next especially in his reticence to leave England.......is it because there could be a plum job in the Premier League or is it Real (even with the politics and post-Mourinho factor) ?"I will make the boys feel your support"

thank Christ he did not get his hands on our club!Originally posted by Phoenix06 View PostYeah, because Morgan wanted Curbishley so bad when he wanted to invest in us.
He'll probably take over in the next couple of days. Probably got advised by Purslow too.
Probably bull**** but I heard that he has been in the changing room twice helping out with the half time team talk

It was said on tele after the final yesterday, that he is likely to be manager of Senegal soon.Originally posted by dww View PostAny way I'm going to throw a random name into the ring - former Cambridge United (and current Zambia) manager Herve Renard. I am glad he is not in contention.Originally posted by colin85 View PostRafa should take the job till the end of the season. Save Wolves from relegation and help rebuild his reputation here.
It is quite possible that even him couldn't save them as their squad is pretty weak and his failure could play a huge part in what type of offers he would get in the summer.
No he is smarter than that and he doesn't need it that badly anyway.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
