I think they are ****ed. Hearts and Dundee Utd are the first to have explained how they will vote, fans across the board seem to be against the Newco. The old Rangers or the new Rangers have failed so far to apologise for its actions winning it few supporters. 3 more come out and say no and it could be Scottish Division 3 for Rangers Newco.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostDundee say they'll join Hearts in voting against Rangers.
Could be closer than people thought, but surely they wont cut the cash cow that is the 'old firm' off ?Modifying post.

Why not -any of the other teams currently in now have an extra European place to play for, or less chance of getting relegated as the replacement team would be weaker in theory than even the newly promoted teams. Also does the SPL pay you for your finishing place like the EP - if so there is even more of an incentive.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostDundee say they'll join Hearts in voting against Rangers.

I thought they needed 8 from12 ?Originally posted by Lee View PostSo Rangers need four from eight teams in the SPL to vote in their favour?!
Dundee and Hearts have already said they want them chucked out of the League. Buzzo, do you think anyone will vote to keep Rangers in?I make no apologies, this is me

nicked from the beeb
Rangers: in or out?
The company which had run Rangers until 14 June 2012 will shortly be liquidated
A new company (newco) has bought Rangers' assets, including Ibrox Stadium
The newco wants to replace the old company in the Scottish Premier League
An 8-to-4 majority of SPL member clubs, including Rangers, is required for the newco to be admitted
If 5 or more clubs vote no, Rangers will need to apply to be admitted to Scottish Football League Division Three
I make no apologies, this is me

They need 8 votes. They have 1 (Themselves) and 2 against (Hearts and Dundee Utd), so 3 more 'no' votes and they are gone.Originally posted by Lee View PostSo Rangers need four from eight teams in the SPL to vote in their favour?!

Motherwell are putting it to a fans ballot.
Aberdeen Supporters want Aberdeen to vote no.
Not sure about the others, but the overriding feedback I am getting from fans of all other clubs would suggest the groundswell is against them. I reckon they are knackered.
Celtic Supporters would look on in glee watching Rangers in the lower leagues for sure. It is the ultimate win for them. I feel sorry for the History that Rangers FC had, but you have got to pay the piper and they have been well and truly caught out by the Taxman.
Put it this way, how would we as Liverpool supporters know we missed out on the title in 2009 to a Man U Squad that was making illegal payments to players to entice them to Old Trafford by inflating their net salaries through illegal trust funds.Modifying post.

If they have to apply to join the third tier, i can see them applying to join the football league in their own right - makes perfect business sense, also sticks two fingers up at the Celtic fans.
Like it or not, the SPL needs challengers to Celtic or the standard of football will drop and it will be become as appealing as the Faroe island league.
I must admit though, they really are a horrible horrible clubI make no apologies, this is me

Aberdeen have said no as well. Rangers fans seem to think that the clubs saying no to them is akin to kamikaze attacks on Rangers themelves - ie committing financial suicide by writing off the chance to play them. Fed up of Rangers and ther self importance.
Its a bit unsavoury kicking them when they're down, but they put themselves in this situation by bending financial rules to win against financially limited competition in the first place.
