And get a grip on reality. They really aren't important anymore - Scotland is a footballing backwater, and clubs from that leagie are never going to be able to compete at the highest level.

Apart from the current and potential differences between the statuses of Wales and Scotland in terms of their future as part of the UK, then yes, there is an inconsistency. Swansea and Cardiff shouldn't be in the English leagues either. As they currently are, it's a bigger step to remove them than it is to enter the Scottish teams.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I know the Scottish league is bad but I don't think you can compare it to the Welsh league
Also Cardiff and Swansea have been in the league since the 1920's/30's
No way will Rangers and Celtic be allowed to join the English league as it currently stands, the chairmen wont allow it.
Neither club can sustain not having European football either

No guarantee of any sort of success as we know.Originally posted by ronanm View PostOff the pitch, then on the pitch
I don't think that they would compete beyond the likes of Newcastle financially. Big stadium yes. I'd be surprised if they had much in the way of overseas presence for additional marketing / sponsorship income though.
Who knows.Oh I don't know.
