Cant see what his motivation is tbh. Why would an american with no prior fitba involvement want rangers? Theyre nowhere near being a money making venture or opportunity, no club in scotland is. Doesnt seem right.

Deal agreed with Charles Green former Sheffield United chief Exec http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18049325

          Takeover deal for Rangers agreed

Former Sheffield United chief executive Charles Green has agreed a deal to buy Scottish Premier League side Rangers.
The deal will be announced at the club's training base Murray Park at 10:00 BST on Sunday when the 59-year-old is due to outline his plans.
It is understood Green wants to form a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) and he is backed with finance from Singapore businessmen.
He plans to watch Sunday's final SPL match of the season at St Johnstone.
Green joined the race to rescue the crisis-hit club last week before previous favourite Bill Miller withdrew his bid.

The Ibrox club had a 12-month transfer embargo imposed by the SFA overturned by the Court of Session.

However, football rules bar clubs using civil courts over football decisions.

Fifa has already intimated its unhappiness with Rangers taking their dispute with the SFA to a civil court .

Dear Football Clubs. If you FA does something above and beyond the agreed sanctions process SHUT THE **** UP. We are FIFA, we do whatever the hell we want.

Dave King calling for creditors to reject the CVA. It could be game over at Ibrox.

Another step closer to oblivion for Rangers as HMRC are apparently going to reject the proposed CVA.

So it seems a 'newco' will be formed and they carry on as before? It's just the holding company that will cease to exist.
                  Oh I don't know.

Not true. Rangers in it's current guise will be no more.

There will no doubt be a new co. Rangers formed and they'll play at Ibrox but they won't be the same club. The history, trophies etc will belong to the club that's being liquidated.

It's lunatic-tastic up in Glasgow at the moment with all the Rangers fans blaming everyone and everything but their own club and it's previous owners for their demise.

I feel sorry for the silent majority of Rangers fans in this situation, as i would any club in this situation, but there is a very vocal minority who're being out and out cunts over the entire affair so **** them.

How so though? The company owning LFC has changed a couple of times in the past 6 years. We've still got our trophies. Club and company are separate entities surely.
                      Oh I don't know.

Epic Swindle aside it was bought from previous owners. There is no company to buy here as its liquidated.

Will just be buying all the assets from the liquidated company anad starting again.

Although maybe they could do what Chelsea have never been able to do and buy the history

So you are saying the assets do not include the history, nor past trophies?

Rangers administration: Rapid Vienna planning to reject CVA proposal
                                Published on Tuesday 12 June 2012 00:00

RAPID Vienna will be repre-sented at the meeting at Ibrox on Thursday which will determine the success or failure of prospective Rangers onwer Charles Green’s CVA proposal – and the Austrians are threatening to throw a spanner in the works by voting against it.

Rapid have also indicated they will go to Uefa and/or Fifa to try and recoup what they are owed by Rangers for the sale of Nikica Jelavic in August 2010.

The Austrian club is still owed £1,011,763.44 by Rangers from the £4 million transfer of the Croatia striker. Green’s offer means that Rapid would instead receive a maximum of just over £91,000 – even though Rangers will recoup all £5.5m from the sale of Jelavic to Everton in January.

Rapid could also end up with a lot less than that because creditors have been told the amount they receive will also depend on the outcome of the big tax case and the £25m lawsuit against lawyers Collyer Bristow. It could take years for those matters to be settled and, if results go against Rangers, Rapid could end up receiving just £10,000 of the cash due to them – which is why they insist they are ready to take their case against the Ibrox club to Uefa and Fifa.

“We have a contract with a British law company and they will be at the meeting on Thursday to take care of business on our behalf,” said Rapid spokesman Peter Klinglmuller. “It’s very important that we receive the full amount we are due for Jelavic and not just a percentage of the transfer fee.

“When you do business with a big European football club then you expect to be paid the full amount. There was an interview with Jelavic in an Austrian newspaper the other day where he said that he expected to get more money from Rangers than our club would. Yet it seems unfair to us that we might not receive the money we are owed for the player when Rangers expect Everton to pay the fee they agreed for him.

“I don’t know how the law works in Scotland but we are used to paying our transfer fees in full. We also expect other clubs to do the same and, if we need to, we will go to Uefa and Fifa to help us in this case.”
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
