The bad thing is that our failure to qualify for Europe this year means we lose our 27 points from the runner up campaign and replace it with a score worked out to be 1/5th of this years score - so about 3.x points.

I cant see any way that we wont be in pot 2 if we do get 4th and qualify for the groups.

Um, not sure that's really relevant. Every team has off days and there is no way the Italian league is better, it's dreadful. The Spanish league is a two (one) horse race so how is that claim inaccurate?

They made some terrible defensive mistakes and they paid for it.

Milan was a better team but they didn't deserve to win it by this difference.

Not a single goal by Milan was result of their well thought out play. Szczesny poor clearance led to the first by Boateng, the second one was offside, 3rd Vermaelen slipped at the last second and 4th one wasn't the penalty.

European football seems to go in cycles for a while it was Italy then it was England now it's Spain that are the sides teams want to avoid.

Last night was funny as **** but the CL gets less and less interesting. Loads of **** games spread over about a month for ****s sake. Arsenal's 2nd leg against Milan is almost a month away, it's an absolute joke. Needs a huge revamp.
