Surely Adebayor was denied a clear goalscoring opportunity, the ref played advantage and Bale scored. Anyway, I'm clearly no expert.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostNo. If you want to play it that way, then the whistle should've gone as soon as Adebayor was brought down - and therefore the game has been stopped, so Bale's goal is disallowed.

I don't think so, IMO he should have been booked.Originally posted by Chazza1978 View PostDoes the law say the keepers can't be punished after an advantage has been played unlike an outfield player? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If the foul on Adebayor is counted (in order to send off Cech) then the game stops as soon as that foul is given. Hence Bale's goal was scored after the game would've been stopped and wouldnt count.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostSurely Adebayor was denied a clear goalscoring opportunity, the ref played advantage and Bale scored.
