If he can get a injury free run and score a few goals would be fantastic for us as might boost that fee up. Never good enough for us, especially now with the way we want to play... but he can certainly be effective for other sides. Hopefully they see this and we have a few clubs vying for his services in the summer.

IMO anything over £15 million will be an absolute miracle, unless he starts banging goals in from now until the end of the season.

get £15m for Carroll - if we want a 'big' target man to have as an option in the squad, go and sign that matt smith lad from oldham for a about £1m and a few grand a week - keep him fit in the squad and use him the two or three times a season where we need to go long ball for the last 10 minutes to grind out a result

he'd offer the same attributes as carrol does but for like nowhere near the cost - so no one will complain when he is not even in the squad for 95% of the season

sell coates as well - with the money go and find a top centre half and centre mid
