massively impressed with Carroll yesterday, he must have been disappointed to start on the bench yesterday and coming on when we were already 2 down it would have been easy to have plod along and make a half arsed effort, instead he came on and was a complete beast and showed he does have that big game mentality that too few in the squad seem to have.

Needs to kick on from this and show it on a regular basis but well done Andy

It has taken him a while to adapt, and tbh. he didn't look like one that mentally could challenge for a first team role at the first half of the season. But he has really picked himself up, and I think the can turn out very good for us now.

There seems to be a hunger about his game now. I have a sneaky that he could be a real revelation at the Euros if Roy selects him.

The most encouraging aspect is that his partnership with Luis genuinely looks to be gelling now.

I was never his biggest detractor, but I certainly had my concerns about him. He's won me over big time though. Loved it when he chased the ball from going out for a goal kick, and then the crowd starting singing his name.

The season is ending at the wrong time for him really. But from his point of view there's a big chance he's played himself into the Euros.
