Carrolls goal showed that in football there is more than one way to score a goal. If youve got that threat inbehind with carrolls goal you will always keep the opposition guessing as to your next move.

Big andy can play football and his link up play was generally very good. But his header was out of this world. Football purists will argue that its not a pretty goal but gerrards cross is poetry in motion and it takes a ridiculous amount of talent to deliver a ball so perfect.

Andys header too was exceptional and believe it or not heading is a skill thats taught in every football academy so why not use it on the pitch.

We will have to wait and see as to whether he fits into rodgers plans or not but he does have a lot to offer.

Had a good first half yesterday and scored a fantastic header! Went missing a bit in the 2nd half but defended a freekick well after we'd just conceded 2 though. I think Rooney - Welbeck might start ahead of him in the next game though. The thing he really need to improve on is when he has time to pick a pass he doesn't give it away too cheaply.

Couldn't agree more.

Looks in great shape, needs to be stronger but he's getting there looks much much better now.

Link up play has improved massively too.
