I'd like to see us go after a new winger and have Sterling as an impact player to start. Coming off the bench and seeing how he does then earning his place in the team.

Dilva is obviously a fake player right. Can't believe I asked my brother the other day if he had heard of Dilva.

          Thanks Tee.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thought he did himself proud during the Euro’s. Can’t be held responsible in any way for England going out and always made an impact when played. Hopefully he’ll gain confidence from this and I’m personally now quite optimistic for the new season.

Plenty of people have said that we need a goal scorer who can get us 20+ goals a season, and while I don’t necessarily disagree I stand by my point that if Carroll and Suarez can get 30 between them then maybe the money could be better used elsewhere. On current/end of season form, I certainly wouldn’t put it past them.

Yup he did well. Not his best contribution last night but at least he was putting plenty in.

Can't help wondering if/when he was due to take a pen'

Thought he would have been in front of Cole TBH.

You decide to play with long balls up field and you dont use Carroll. He loves long balls. He is know for his ability to handle long balls. Made no sense, but thats Roy for you...it was fun to write "Long balls"...

I thought made more of a conrtibution than Rooney and Wellbeck put together, did all that could be expected of him.

Camera panned in on Johnson getting some instruction just before the penalties. I thought it looked like he was taking one, but would they have given him the last? I suppose his confidence would have been sky high, so who knows...

its a sad view of England overall when the most common pass during their quarter final was from Hart to Carroll

Spot on! The only thing more sad is having a manager who decides to play football like that and then use Welbeck over Carroll. That is the definition of moronic I believe.

I meant in terms of quality - not effort.
