I am sure that brendo watched a fair amount of football in this country. He probably even watched us seeing we had to play them twice.

and the issue with he said " i give all the players a chance to prove in training" all managers say that and all managers tend to ship out people they dont want quick smart if they can.

    grow up!!!
And I'm pretty sure he does have scouts.

Joking aside, that is a **** list and I would rather keep AC than have any of them. We have him, why not just keep him and use him as a sub?

Unless, as I said before, BR needs to sell him to raise money for other targets.

My concern is Carroll is unlikely to be a first team starter, under Rodgers. His value is therefore likely to drop, his confidence is likely to drop and (this maybe a little unfair) his taste in beer is likely to increase. If we can sell him for £17m, it's a no brainer.

I don't care if we lose £30m as long as Rodgers thinks its a good idea. When you bring in a new boss you back him to the hilt ahead of what fans and the players think.

If we could sell him and nett that amount I could see sense in it

However I dont think anyone would pay that for a start and secondly as the player clearly doesnt want to leave we will no doubt have to offer financial incentives in order to facilitate any move

                  We'll see

My guess is the financial "benefits" of selling him wont be that benefical going forward

A Newcastle fan I work with reckons wages will be the biggest stumbling block. Carroll was on £12k a week at Newcastle after signing a 5 year deal. Cisse is on £40k. He reckons there's no way they'll pay him what he's on at Liverpool.

So you think we should keep a player Rodgers doesn't rate or want?

I see most arguments are based on Danny Graham being Swansea's front man last season. I think he played striker because he was as good as they could afford and attract.

I'm sure Brendan Rodgers has an idea on a replacement for Carroll and needs the ££££££'s from his sale. I fail to see the problem.

I remember Rodgers saying he learnt a lesson at Reading. He said he was basically too nice and not ruthless enough when it came to making decisions. He said he won't make that mistake again and I have no problem.

I can't believe we pay him 75k pw, how did we come up with that as a pay rise.

I still can't believe Dalglish signed him. We played the best football under him when we played expansive one touch football. I never saw how he expected that to continue with the signing of Carroll.

                          Stupid.

Sell him please Rodgers. Don't want him hanging about if he ain't playing. He is on a massive wage that we don't need right now.

alot of people seem to think its better to not play him and pay him his large wage because then we dont have to admit it was a mistake

I never said Rodgers should be forced to keep anyone

However I dont see much if any financial incentives from selling him, they will be minimal to say the least

Which comes around to the point of being able to afford and attract players

I think we will struggle on that score at this moment in time - with or without the sale of Andy Carroll
