I haven't read the specific post but I'd be very surprised if it were specifically one miss they wanted him sold for.Originally posted by Lecter View PostYet you have someone on the other page slaughtering him for missing a chance from 5 yards out and saying we should sell on that basis
Do we also apply that to the rest of our players who have and will frequently miss from 5 yards out?
I'd also wager when people make criticism of a player based on one attribute they are hoping you can read it whilst bearing in mind the context of that players other underlying characteristics rather than assuming they see that one attribute as singularly meaningful.
But then I haven't got an axe to grind about Suarez missing chances and Carroll supposedly getting a hard time the way you do!Like blood on iron

Ok so I looked back and it was obviously Nick's spiel. Everyone knows he can't express his opinion without being a bit of a dick. The only thing you can garner from those posts are that he doesn't rate Carroll and can't exert sufficient neurological control in front of a keyboard. New **** has not come to light. Picking on a single point as though it were something half cogent is on to a loser. Just laugh and talk to the less challenged, no?Like blood on iron

Apology acceptedOriginally posted by MrNice View PostI am joking by the way
unless your not on about me, in which case you can **** off
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Personally I think Carroll is a better player than the one that arrived. And his effort and determination have improved a great deal.
Had we been playing the same way as last season id want us to keep him. He was fantastic when he came on against Chelsea and had a decent Euros.
But he does not suit the way we want to play as a plan A. As such, sell.Forwards.......

It wouldn't hurt the forums for some people to say, 'y'know what, I don't rate Carroll, but he ran himself in to the ground and got a goal as rewards' instead of trying to find some wonky twig to beat him with.
I'm not a big fan of Carroll but i thought he done well, some nice hold up play, fair enough a missed header (it happens) and although the keeper was poor for the goal, it was a lovely turn & still a goal regardless. Credit where credit is due

Let's get behind him and hope he carries on improving for as long as he's here.
Agreed but still not good enough for LFC in my opinion - I apologize to everyone for having an opinion ffs!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

you cannot knock carroll [any more] for not trying. he just doesnt have the control of a quality footballer, though. if you look at the clips of tello or sahin, etc, then these lads can play. great close control, can give and take a pass at pace, can run past people, blah blah... all the things we would love to see from andy, but i dont think he has it in him... no matter how much he tries, he will never be as smooth as these other lads.
dont say ahh, but they are not centre forwards... a group that can all provide goals will be better than trying to rely on a misfiring andy carroll, they will provide more options and be more mobile, and every one of them will add goals from any position.
remember how everyone loved his show of commitment when he chased down that ball that was going out. he is a lad that everyone is hoping will do well for us, but i really feel that he will be gone, and it will be for the overall benefit of the team. the cards are held by the barcodes, though. they might want him, but they know andy will only agree to go if its to them, and they will only pay up to about 15m. we either accept that or we get an expensive bench warmer.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
