Roy Hodgson has warned he will give no special protection to Daniel Sturridge while on England duty despite his injury problems for Liverpool.
The striker's season has been decimated yet again by injury having made a return at the start of the campaign from five months out following a hip operation.

'It'll be interesting to see how Daniel Sturridge is,' Hodgson said. 'His record with England is not bad. We've not seen him with England since we had to send him back to Liverpool injured.'

Aye, I think that he wanted to play down that he'll have to be managed differently this time as doing so would be admitting that they ****ed up last time.

He's an idiot, but there is surely no way he'll make the same mistake again with Sturridge.

Dont think Stones will start. It will probably be Cahill. Stones cant even seem to get into Evertons first team anymore.

Desperately need to keep Rooney out. I would want all the youngsters to play if I was English, get them tournament experience with the plan that every player who plays will be likely to feature in the next 2 world cups... Germany have shown that developing a generation of young players and progressing as a NT is the way foward

Rooney will play every minute of every game coz of his "experience". Experience of being **** at every international tournament since 18 years old or whatever but still. He'll not score a goal, not even be able to control the ball and England will probably go out in the quarters (they've basically got a bye through to there, even Hodgson cant mess that one up)

He'll play every minute in Russia 2018 too.
