It goes to show how much confidence plays a factor in football too; Newcastle seem to purr in places, mainly because they know they only need one chance and a clean sheet to get three points. Their finishing has been clinical and remember seeing a few games this season when they have had one shot, one goal and then they defend resolutely.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostNewcastle are going to hand Man Utd the title aren't they
However, when they lose, they crumble. Spurs wiped the floor with them, as did Wigan; if Man City can get an early goal to settle the nerves, Newcastle will come out and City will pick them apart.
Hopefully.
And from what Pardew has been saying in the press, they will sell again this season, taking them in to the black and making a profit. How they build on this, who they buy in the summer and how they cope with playing in Europe will be interesting next season, because it could be another team challenging for the top four regularly.

It makes me sick really... His hatrick on Sat was one of the best I've ever seen all his goals were real quality, but his 3rd was sublime. But there wasn't a whisper about it in the London papers. If it was anyone else it would have made backpage screaming headlines.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostOf course we all know that Suarez has **** all chance of winning anything with this media.
Also I've noticed its being referred to as a lobbed goal... Really?!! Lobbed goal from just inside the opp half - its a shot not a blady lob
Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

On Monday Sky Sports News had their weekly 'six of the best' - the six best goals from the weekend.Originally posted by Mattimetal View PostIt makes me sick really... There were some great goals at the weekend - Di Santo for example - but foolishly I expected all 3 Suarez goals to make the top 6.
Only the hat-trick goal did, while TWO of Torres's goals (1st and 3rd) were included.
Absolutely laughable.
It's clear they all hate him and probably see him as damaging to "the brand". It's a joke.
Last night on Twitter loads of journos were debating goal of the season and hardly any, if any at all, even mentioned Suarez's goal. It was all Cisse, Crouch, Ben Arfa and Van Persie.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
