Thanjk you.

You've probably already seen the YouTube video in which a well-refreshed and potty-mouthed Steve Kean says various silly things about Blackburn, Sam Allardyce and others.
Perhaps his most ludicrous claim in the meeting with Rovers fans on last season's pre-season tour to Hong Kong was that Blackburn would 'finish in the top half and win the Carling Cup', but not far behind was the notion that he discovered Phil Jones, while Sam Allardyce and most of the staff at the Rovers Academy didn't particularly rate him and were about to release him.
Well, actually, this what Kean said: "So I said to Sam, I said 'Sam, I've got a player here for you.' He went, 'what is he like?' I went 'he's better than John Terry at his age.' And he went 'f**k off!' That's what Sam said."
Erudite, as you'd expect for a manner of his dignity.
The problems start when you keep in mind that Kean started working for Blackburn in August 2009. Jones played for Blackburn's reserves in the 2008/9 season, while Academy director Gary Bowyer wrote in his end of season report: 'Jason Lowe scored two stunning goals for the Reserves, Phil Jones has progressed and gone up there, with both of them are training up there full time and they are only Academy 1st years. So from that aspect that has been a positive.'
In addition, Allardyce hosted an 'Audience With Big Sam' in April 2009, in which he discussed many things, including a then 18-year-old Jones, comparing him favourably with John Terry.
So well done Steve. Well done for single-handedly uncovering this player that everyone knew about anyway.
We also hear that Kean invented the internet, the sandwich and the question mark.
